CROSS COUNTRY

The HCA Cross Country team has been hard at work this summer preparing for the 2025–2026 school year. Coaches Kate Nees, Jeff Dunay, Mike Harris, Andrew Ferris, and Abigail Ferris are anticipating a strong season. The team’s first competition will be at the HOKA Invitational in Painesville on Saturday, August 23.

SOCCER

We are delighted to announce our inaugural soccer match, taking place on Thursday, August 21, at Christian Community School. Under the leadership of Coach Matt Newman, our co-ed Middle School team has been diligently preparing—honing new skills and refining existing ones. This marks an exciting milestone for our athletic program, and we look forward with great anticipation to watching it flourish in the seasons ahead.

GOLF

We are thrilled to introduce HCA’s first-ever golf team as part of our fall athletics program! Coaches Leah Hooper and Taylor Steinhoff will lead the team in their inaugural match on Thursday, August 14, in Mentor. This exciting launch provides our student-athletes with a unique opportunity to participate in a new sport while reflecting Christ through their play and sportsmanship.

VOLLEYBALL

The season is already off to a strong start for our Griffin volleyball teams. Our Middle School girls, the reigning OCSAA State Champions, are training with focus and intensity as they prepare to defend their title. Meanwhile, the Varsity girls—fresh off an impressive second-place finish at the National Christian Tournament at Cedarville University—are poised for another competitive and inspiring season.

Coaches Amanda Kenney and Elizabeth Wilsey return to lead these talented young women with excellence and purpose.

The team plays again on Friday, August 15, at Agape Christian Academy – Come cheer them on!
