SPRING CONCERTS
Our spring concerts will be held on Monday, May 12, at Parkside Church. This will be an early dismissal day, with no aftercare or after-school clubs. Peninsula’s concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. and Pepper Pike’s at 7:00 p.m. Please see emails that were sent earlier for student arrival time, proper attire, and more. We look forward to celebrating the students’ hard work with you!
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL UPDATE
Please note that the last day of school for the Academy will be a half-day on May 23, with dismissal at noon. The school calendar has been updated to reflect this change.
THE GRIFFIN RUNDOWN
Every Tuesday, a new episode of the Griffin Rundown addresses important issues for families and the Heritage culture. This week, Mr. Nees kicks off a two-part series on the importance of the arts at Heritage. Please prayerfully consider helping with lunch and recess. If you are able to devote a portion of your day to volunteering, it would be greatly appreciated. In cases of extreme weather, we may have indoor recess and it’s always beneficial to have extra hands for helping and an additional set of eyes for observing. RHETORIC SEMINAR COLLEGE PANEL
Parents of Rhetoric students, please join us on Friday, May 9, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. in the chapel for an informative panel discussion. A team of HCA staff will share insights and answer your questions about the college search process, choosing a major, and what to expect from college life—at both public and private institutions. This session is designed to benefit both students and their parents as you navigate this important next step.

RHETORIC FORMAL JACKETS
All current 8th graders have been fitted for their formal HCA jacket that they will receive as a gift from the school in the fall. If your current 9th–11th grader needs a jacket in a new size, the cost is $130, which will be charged to your FACTS account. Please have them sized next week, May 12–16, so we can include their replacement with our order. Please fill out the order form here by Monday, May 12.
RHETORIC SCHOOL SPRING EVENT
All Rhetoric students are invited to a spring event at Whirleyball Cleveland on Friday, May 16. Participants will enjoy an afternoon filled with delicious food and activities like bowling, Whirleyball, and laser tag. Register here by May 9.
SEMESTER EXAMS
Semester exams will take place on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22 with a noon dismissal for only 9th–11th grade students.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL
Our last day of school, Friday, May 23 is a half-day, with dismissal at noon. Parents of 6th–11th graders are invited to our Memory Recitation in the Chapel from 8:15 a.m. to 8:35 a.m. Our Upper School students will then spend the remainder of the morning cleaning their lockers and participating in their first House Olympics!
TRACK AND FIELD
The Griffins Track Team is hitting its stride! The Junior High team will compete this Friday, May 9 at the East Palestine Invitational, followed by the High School team running on Saturday, May 10 at the Gilead Christian Invitational.
The season will wrap up with the National Christian Meet at Geneva College on Saturday, May 17, featuring athletes from 6th–11th grade. Go Griffins!
HCA GOLF CLINIC
This is the last week to sign up for the HCA Golf Clinic on Saturday, May 10, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Golf Dome in Chagrin Falls. For a cost of $35, students in grades 5 through 11 will have an opportunity to master fundamentals, sharpen their skills, and enjoy learning more about the game. Click here to reserve a spot!
